Newsroom: It doesn’t work when

As you approach this work week and start entertaining the idea of what an in-house newsroom for your organisation would look like, you will soon realise that...

🤖 You have a lot on your plate.

🤡 Your mind is racing with ideas.

🤠 You are not GE (trying to setup GE Reports), WEF, or AWS with resources up the wazoo. So here is what you can do 👇

💯 In my opinion, the in-house newsroom works when we tell stories of the people behind the products and services your advocacy work aims to represent or look out for.

✔ It works only if you first try, then refine and repeat.

❌ It doesn’t work when it has goes through months of convincing (think presentations) those who have a lot on their plate and see you not as a strategic contributor but a supporter of their way of doing work.

🎤 Trust me, it only works when your aim is to do good work—work that aims to change the understanding of people and/or circumstances.
